Since artificial grass is made of synthetics, the temperature can have a minor effect due to the fact that synthetics may expand and shrink slightly due to seasonal climatic changes.

In short, there is no such thing as the best temperature to install Artificial Grass.  However, to say there’s no difference would be a lie.

Expansion through temperature variance is minimal, therefore, there’s no need to worry with a movement of only a matter of millimeters.

An additional reason not to worry is the fact that this rarely occurs with our artificial grass due to the backing. The technical improvements with our products means the backing is both stronger and less sensitive to fluctuations in temperature.U

What is the ideal temperature for Artificial Turf to be installed in?

If pushed for a ‘perfect world’ scenario, ideally between 5 and 15 degrees Celsius. It’s best to roll the grass out and let it ‘relax’ for a while.  We consider the joins as the grass will only shrink and expand lengthways, as well as allowing for climatic change when fixing your lawn to the perimeter. This prevents any wrinkles or creasing!
